Somewhere around the time when the day begins to wind down and turn into the evening those who are sensitive to energy might experience a bit of sadness or a melancholy feeling around this time.
I tend to notice this on Sunday evenings. I think at that time the feelings can be especially prevalent because not only has the day that was once so full of possibilities begun to wind down, but for many people there’s a sense of our free time coming to an end, and the tasks and responsibilities of the coming week looming ahead.
During these times I believe there is a collective charge (think in terms of energy) that we tap into, and it’s the energy of the collective that can be felt. We are all empathic to some degree, and some of us might experience these feelings more or less intensely than others.
When we begin to feel uncomfortable feelings like these they can often feel like they’re our own, when actually they are not our burden to carry. What we are actually doing is reading energy (although we may not realize it). We are tapping into the energy of the collective that can be felt. When you have these experiences one thing you can do is say out loud, “This is not mine alone to carry.” When you do, the burden of the feelings you are experiencing will begin to lessen. I often imagine it as the energy I was holding/experiencing being taken and dispersed out across Earth’s energetic grids.
A little story: One day I was speaking to a client who was struggling with depression, and he mentioned that he noticed his feelings worsened at the time of day previously mentioned. Because he was aware of this, he was more conscious during those times to be gentle with himself, and to take time to do things that kept him in a good feeling space, which for him often involved reading a book. That was the first time I’d heard someone confirm what I’d also experienced myself.
When you notice these types of feelings first acknowledge the feeling. This is an important step, and can be done by simply saying out loud, “I recognize I’m feeling ___” fill in the blank with whatever emotion(s) you are experiencing.
Next you can state, “This is not mine alone to carry.” This is a powerful statement of intention, like a decree, that we can use to help transmute difficult feelings. It is something that I use regularly when I experience difficult feelings, and it always makes me feel better.
