A Heart Space Practice We All Can Do

Coming from the heart is something many of us would benefit from practicing more often. In fact, this is something I constantly have to remind myself of.

For many of us, much of our time is spent in the mental space (the mind), thinking, planning, analyzing, worrying, trying to problem solve, and so on. The mind can easily become overworked if we do not take the time to create balance, and allow the mind to rest so that it does not reach the point of mental exhaustion or fatigue.

A great way to get out of our head, create a greater sense of balance, and cultivate loving energy, is to turn to our heart.

To get into the heart space we simply drop our awareness and consciousness from our mind down to our heart, and the area surrounding our heart, in the center of our chest. There should be no focus in the mind at this point, as our awareness is now at the heart. We want to feel into the heart space.

What does it feel like for your consciousness to occupy this space?

From here we can energetically send and receive love. We can send loving energy to a specific person or people, to the planet, plants, animals, you name it. In order to do so, you only have to visualize loving energy radiating from your heart space out to whomever or whatever you intend to have receive that loving energy.

I like to see this loving energy as soft pink, and somewhat translucent, but your visualization and feeling of it may differ. I will typically visualize and feel this loving energy coming from my heart space, spreading across the Earth, and encircling it. As it does, I know that this loving energy is being spread to the planet and the people alike. It is a simple practice we all can do to help others and the planet, and it also has the return benefit of opening our own heart in the process.

This is one of my go-to techniques because it can be done quickly and easily, and is a great way to connect in with the loving energy of the heart.
