Tarot cards and oracle cards are a great tool to use to connect to your intuition. They can provide useful guidance and insights into any number of topics.
I have numerous tarot and oracle card decks and find I use some, which have become my favorites, more often than others. I start by selecting the deck I am most drawn to at the time I’m doing a tarot/oracle card reading, and I will typically do a three card spread (Note: there are various types of card spreads, which can easily be looked up on the internet).
I usually use a three card spread, meaning I will select three cards from the deck and use them to provide positive guidance in my life. While some people use a three card spread to represent past, present, and future, I simply use all three cards to provide guidance at present moment.
My personal way of doing a card reading is to say out loud that I only take the meaning of the cards as face up (because face down/reverse can often have a different meaning).
I find I really like to look at the images on the cards because some part of that image will grab my attention, and then I’ll start to get an impression of the card’s meaning for that reading.
Next, after I’ve gotten my own impressions about the card, I will look up the meaning of the card in the guidebook that comes with the deck and read what it says about that card, in order to gain further insight.
