Tuning In To Subtle Energy

Recently, I woke up one morning and not having anywhere that I needed to be, or anything I needed to do, I simply laid in bed. It was a darker morning outside, the kind that made it easy to stay cozy tucked under layers of blankets. My French bulldog was snoozing away next to me, which only enhanced my comfort level. I laid there not wanting to get up, and not wanting to go back to sleep either, just in this peaceful limbo state.

While in that relaxed state, I felt gentle urges to move my body in certain ways.

For instance, I felt urged to put my left hand across my chest onto my right shoulder, at another moment to put the palms of my hands together (while they were snuggled under my pillow), and to put the backs of my hands together, and so on. Twice while doing those comfortable movements I had “flashes” of somewhere else come through. The first one was the feeling of the 1930’s, outdoors, in a large alley or street market with grey-brown cobble stone streets. I believe there was an animal pulling a cart. The color red was somewhere in my awareness.

The next image was unrelated to the first and came a short time afterwards. It was a beautiful outdoor landscape, full of greenery. I can’t recall if it was fields or rolling hills, but it was a lovely scene. It felt like I was peeking into somewhere else. Another frequency.

I believe this happened because I was in a relaxed state, and followed the (very subtle) intuitive urges to move my hands into different positions. I believe this moves energy through the body in different ways.

This experience has reignited my interest in mudras as that is in part what I was doing—only intuitively guided ones. I was also using more of my body at times than just my hands. I’ve been reflecting on how I often instinctually move my arms, hands, and body to do different movements throughout the day, simply because they feel good to me, and by doing so I am undoubtedly moving energy. These concepts reinforce what an amazing technology the human body is.
